Junior High Summer Reading Program Scare Up a Good Book
June 11-August 6
For those entering 5th through 8th grade in the Fall!
Don't be scared! Just put down those video games; come to the library and read!
Your goal for the summer is to read (or listen to) 8 books in 8 weeks!
Prizes will be awarded at the half way mark as well as upon completion.
Every book you read enters you in our monthly drawings for prizes. Increase your chances to win by attending programs designed specifically for our junior high participants.
Entering high school in the fall? Never fear, you can join the adult program!
Teen Scream Movie Nights
Those entering 5th-8th grade in the fall are invited to our Teen Scream Movie Nights:
- Monday, June 21 at 5:30pm, Join us for a Hitchcock classic thriller. The residents of Bodega Bay are suddenly confronted with a malicious, full scale attack by birds of all shapes and sizes. This movie is rated PG-13 and does contain some blood and violence that may be too intense for young children. 119 minutes.
- Monday, July 15 at 5:30pm, join us for a Disney movie inspired by a popular attraction at Disney's amusement parks. The movie stars Eddie Murphy as a workaholic real estate agent who finds his latest property listing is haunted! Rated PG and is 99 minutes long.
Get homework help from live tutors every day from 2pm to 11pm! There are tutors for English, social studies, math and science. All you need is your library card.
Get sample tests and test prep for the ACT, SAT, PSAT and AP tests online for free. You will need to register the first time you use the service.
