Summer reading is for the whole family! Below you will find our children's program, but we also offer programs for all ages:
Junior High Reading Program for grades 5th through 8th
Adult Reading for grades 9th and up

Join us for a summer of thrills and chills! Our summer reading program is designed for children 3-11 years old.
You can sign out throughout the summer at either library. You'll get a book log and each time you come into the library, you'll get a sticker for that log. When you collect 4 stickers you'll receive free admission to our summer ending pizza party.
Freaky Friday Programs
June 25 1:30pm at the Minooka Branch: Scared Silly Stories. Chris Fascione's show will tickle your goosebumps!
July 9 1pm at the Main Library: Wild & Wacky Water Adventures: The Magic Storyteller will entertain with water magic and puppetry. It's going to be wet and wild!
July 23 1pm at the Minooka Branch: Mad Science: Fire & Ice: Foggy dry ice storms, giant beach balls floating in mid air flashy reactions that go POOF!
Camp Jeepers Creepers
A different kind of day camp for kids entering 3rd, 4th or 5th grades in the fall. There will be activities, stories, games, crafts and snacks. There are two sessions to chose from Morning: 10am-Noon and Afternoon 1pm-3pm. Camp is held on the following Tuesdays: June 22, June 29, July 13 and July 20. Camp is held at the Channahon Library. Pre-Registration is required for this camp.

Lunch Bunch
Bring your lunch and enjoy a story! On Thursdays from 11:30am-12:30pm starting June 17, weather permitting, bring your lunch and a blanket to the Main Library lawn. While you dine, enjoy a chapter or two from a family friendly chapter book read aloud by a staff member. All ages welcome. Children under 10 please bring a parent or other responsible adult.

Lapsits for Our Littlest Critters
Lapsits are designed for infants and toddlers up to age 3 and a caregiver. This is an excellent first introduction to the world of books and reading. Miss Jennifer will be hosting lapsits at both buildings on the following dates:
Tuesdays at 10am at the Minooka Library from June 15-August 3.
Wednesdays at 10am at the Channahon Library from June 16-Aug 4.
Monster Bash
Our summer ending program!! Bring your log with four stickers for free admission. (Additional siblings/parents are $1 each). Friday, August 6 beginning at 5:30pm at Lion's Park in Minooka. The popular children's entertainer Dave Rudolph will present his family show and then our pizza party will follow!
