Game Night at the Library

Calling all 3rd through 5th graders! Join us this winter for Game Nights at the Library. Each session, we will introduce a new game, play a variety of games and have a snack. Bring your friends!
Game Nights are:
At Channahon 1st and 3rd Thursdays from 4pm to 5:30pm.
At Minooka 2nd and 4th Tuesdays from 6pm to 7:30pm.
 

Dr. Seuss Poster/Coloring Contest

This winter from Jan 18-Feb 27, 3 year olds through 3rd Graders can participate in our coloring and poster contests! Each participant will receive a certificate. Prizes will be awarded in each age group. Prizes will be awarded following our Dr. Seuss Magic Show on Tuesday, March 2. You do not have to be present to win.

· For children ages 3-5/Kindergarten: We will be having a coloring contest, chose your coloring page.

· For children 1st-3rd grade: Create a “Dr. Seuss is Magical” poster

Movies @ Your Library

Third Saturday Matinee: Join us on the third Saturday of every month for movies for the whole family at 12:30pm at the Minooka Branch. Our first showing will be on Saturday, Feb 20. For licensing reasons, we can’t advertise the movie on the website so call 815-467-6200 ext 306 for titles or pick up a flyer at either library.


Dr. Seuss Magic Show

Come celebrate Dr Seuss’ birthday with us! On Tues March 2 at 6pm, Bob Bohm will be at our Channahon location with his “Dr. Seuss Magic Show”. Coloring/Poster contests winners will also be revealed.



 

 Story Hours

Story hour is designed for children 3 to 5 years old. We read stories, sing songs, make music and create a craft. There are 4 identical sessions each week so drop in on the one that works for you!

Story Hours are held on Tuesdays in Minooka at 10am and 1pm and Wednesdays in Channahon at 10am and 1pm.
 

 
 
Lapsits

Lapsit story time is for infants and toddlers from birth to 3 years. We read stories, sing songs and explore with books.
