Library Card Sign-Up Month
September 2010

September is Library Card Sign-Up month! We are celebrating by teaming up with local businesses to give you all a reward for being a member of our library. Just bring your Three Rivers Library card to the participating locations to reap your rewards!
Don’t have a Three Rivers Library card? Stop by either the Channahon or Minooka locations with an ID and proof of residence, and sign-up for a card for free! Not only will you obtain the perk from the participating locations, but you can also check out books, recently released movies and music, audio books and playaways, get on our computers or use our Wi-Fi, and download to your Nook or Sony Reader, all for free with your library card! It’s that simple to get free stuff, so sign-up today!

Read a Movie Book Club
"Never Let Me Go" by Kazuo Ishiguro
Seen a good movie lately? It might just be based on a book. Come explore the book first with our Read a Movie Book Club. Our club will meet each month to discuss aspects of the book and our thoughts on a movie adaptation. Our first book will be "Never Let Me Go," by Kazuo Ishiguro. The film version, in theatres September 15, stars Keira Knightley and Carey Mulligan. The summary of the book can be found here in the catalog, and the trailer for the movie here.

Monster Bash Pizza Party Pictures
Dave Rudolf entertained us with silly songs and dances. Everyone had a blast, doing the Frankenstein dance, conga line and limbo. Pizza & pop was served after the show and doorprizes were drawn.
