Through the Online Media of Northern Illinois (OMNI), download audiobook and eBook titles to your computer and transfer to your mobile devices, 24/7. Choose from thousands of popular and educational titles in virtually every subject. You will need to download software to get started, and some eReaders are not compatible with OverDrive consule. Project Gutenberg is a collection of over 36,000 free e-books, you can download to your computer, Kindle, Nook, Kobo, Android, iOS or other portable devices. Founded in 1971, Project Gutenberg is the first eBook collection, and includes classic fiction and non-fiction titles in the public domain from a variety of popular genres. Download 3 free MP3s a week from the Sony Music Entertainment Catalog. Compatible with all devices, you keep the music you download, without needing to install any software to your computer. Includes artists such as Rihanna, the Glee cast, Kenny Chesney, Pink and many more! Freegal is for use outside the library, and all you need is your library card!
TumbleBook Library
TumbleBooks are animated, talking picture books. TumbleBooks are created by taking existing picture books, adding animation, sound, music and narration to produce an electronic picture book which you can read, or have read to you*. There are even books in French and Spanish! In addition to the books, the collection includes:

Classics
No username and password are required. All you need is the Flash 6 plug-in which is preloaded on all library computers and most home computers. If you are unable to view the TumbleBooks at home, you can download the plug-in for FREE here.
* If you want to listen to sound, music and narration in the library, you must bring your own headphones, or you can purchase headphones or earbuds for $1 at either library location.
TrueFlix
Read Kids Books Online! TrueFlix allows students to read Scholastic science and social studies books online, including content on the human body, space and ancient civilizations. All of the titles are supported with related content featuring videos, audio, images, text, lesson plans and activity centers. TrueFlix can be used in and outside the library, and all you need is your library card and pin number (the last 4 digits of your library card).
