Closings and Regular Hours

We will be closed on September 1 in honor of Labor Day. Regular hours begin on September 2.

Hours are:

Mon-Thurs 9am-9pm
Fri 9am-6pm
Sat 10am-5pm
Sun 1pm-5pm

Minooka Branch
Mon-Thurs 10am-8pm
Fri 1pm-6pm
Sat 10am-3pm
Sun Closed

What's Happening in Your Community?
  • Car Show and Cruise Night: August 21 from 5pm-9pm in the parking lots of Ace Hardware and Bean Encounters in Minooka.
  • Meet the 2008 Indians: August 22 starting at 6:30pm at the Minooka Community High School, football team introductions followed by scrimmages.
  • Battle of the Bands: Part of Minooka Summerfest, 7pm-10pm on August 22, downtown Minooka.
  • Minooka Summer Movie: Ratatouille will be shown on August 22 at Summerfield Park, children's activities start at 6pm with the movie following.
  • Minooka Summerfest: August 23, Downtown Minooka.
  • Elwood Community Days: Sept 5-7 at Lloyd Erickson Park in Elwood.

What's Happening at the Library?

  • Wednesday, August 6: Join Ms. Tracy for lapsit for infants and toddlers up to age 3 at the Main Library at 10am. This is our last lapsit of the summer, lapsits will resume in the fall.
  • Friday, August 8: Summer reading ends! Join us for our pizza party at Lion's Park in Minooka starting at 5:30pm. Entertainment will be provided by the Flying Aces Pro Frisbee Team. Admission is free with a book log with 4 stickers and is just $1 for parents and kids without completed book logs. All are welcome to attend! Come celebrate with us!

  • Ribbon Cutting: A ribbon cutting ceremony for the Minooka Community High School-South Campus, Channahon, Illinois will be held on August 10 at 2pm at the new high school, after the ceremony the public is welcome to tour the new building.
  • Three Rivers Fest: Central Park in Channahon August 13-17. Entertainment, Firefly 5K, food, vendors, a carnival and more!
