Happy New Year

Just a reminder about our upcoming New Year's closings. We will be open our normal hours on Friday and Saturday and we will be closed on December 30, December 31 and January 1. We will reopen with our normal hours on January 2.

What's Happening in Your Community?
  • Dog Days at Skateland: Bring your dog for a run inside at Skateland. All dogs must be current on shots. Upcoming dog days are December 20 and January 17: Dogs under 35 pounds are allowed from 6:30pm to 7:30pm, larger dogs from 7:40pm to 8:40pm.
  • New Year's All Nighter: December 31 starting at 7pm at Skateland. There will be skating, games, movies, prizes and even a balloon drop! This is an all ages, completely supervised event, so adults can feel secure in dropping their kids off. Admission in advance is $18 residents/$21 non-residents and $25 at the door. Admission includes skate rental and breakfast. Concession stands are extra and will be open.
  • Pancake Breakfast: The Minooka Community High School Winterguard is having a pancake breakfast on January 12 from 8am-Noon at the high school cafetorium. Cost is $5 adult/$3 children (3-11).

Closings Reminder

Just a reminder that both the Minooka Branch and the Main Library will be closing at 6pm tomorrow, Wednesday December 12. The Main Library will also be closed on Monday and Tuesday December 17 and 18 for carpet installation (stemming from the reconstruction earlier in the year). The Minooka Branch will be open their regular hours on December 17 and 18. No fines will be charged for any materials due on either December 17 or 18 at the Main Library, but you can always return material to the Minooka Branch.
