Early Closing and Story Hours
Just a reminder that both libraries will be closing at 6pm on Wednesday, December 6.
We have two more weeks of story hours before the holidays. Our last story hours before the break will be December 12 and 13, these will be our annual Christmas Cookie story hours. Story hours will then take a break and will resume on January 16.

Thanksgiving Tips
Thanksgiving is fast approaching, so here are some sites to help you out with your feast. Also, there's still time to check out the cookbooks at Three Rivers Public Library! Remember that we will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.

What's Happening In Our Community?
  • Minooka High School's Annual Community Coffee will be held on Tuesday, November 14 at 8:15am. To attend, please RSVP to Dave DiLorenzo at 467-2140 ext 179 by November 10.
  • Minooka High School's Fall Sports Night will be held November 15 at 7pm. For more information call the MCHS Athletic Office at 467-2140 ext 135.
  • Breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus on December 1 between 8am and 10am at the Heritage Bluffs Clubhouse brought to you by the Channahon Park District. Pre-registration is required and is $6 for Park District residents/$8 for non.
  • December 3 is the Channahon Community Holiday Event at the Channahon Municipal Builidng starting at 3pm. Enjoy horse drawn sleigh rides, refreshments and caroling as well as a visit by Santa Claus. The event will end with the lighting of the community Christmas tree.
  • Letters to Santa. Put your letters to Santa in the mailbox at Arrowhead Community Center between December 1 and 10 and include your name and address and the Park District will make sure the letters are delivered and Santa's promised to write back.
  • Santa's Skating Party: December 16 from 4:30pm to 6:30pm at the Skateland Recreation Center. Enjoy skating, games and a visit from Santa. All children 10 and under must be accompanied by a parent. Pre-registration is $5 for Park District Residents/$7 non. Registration on the day of is $9 for all.
  • New Year's Eve All Nighter: December 31 at the Skateland Recreation Center starting at 6pm and ending at 7am the next day. Enjoy a completely supervised New Year's Eve celebration, skating, games and moves. Fee includes admission, skate rental and breakfast. Bring extra money for concessions. Pre registration is $17 for residents/$20 for non. Admission day of is $22 for all.
