Halloween Story Hours
We will be holding our Halloween Party Story Hours on Tuesday October 24 and Wednesday October 25 during our normal story hour sessions. Bring a treat to pass and come in your costume! Because of Halloween, there will be no story hours on October 31 and November 1.

Story hours are geared toward 3 to 5 year olds and feature stories, music, a parade and a craft. Story hours are held on Tuesdays at the Minooka Branch at 10am and 1pm and Wednesdays at the Main Library at 10am and 1pm.

Dollar a Bag Book Sale

Fill up a plastic shopping bag with used books at the Main Library and it's only a $1 for a limited time. We have lots of paperbacks and more to chose from, so hurry on over and fill up a bag!

What's Happening in Your Community?

  • Channahon Fire Protection District Open House: Saturday, October 14 from Noon to 3pm.
  • Channahon Park District Craft Show: Saturday, October 21 from 9am-3pm at the Heritage Crossing Field House. Admission is $1.
  • Civil War Days at Dollinger Family Farm: Saturday and Sunday October 21-22. Charge of $2/Child, $4/Adult for Battle viewing 2pm both days, rest of the event is free.
  • Halloween Happenings: Sunday, October 29 join the Channahon Park District for all kinds of Halloween fun including a Halloween Magic Show at the Heritage Crossing Field House. Haunted Games will be between 1pm-3pm, Magic Show seating begins at 2:30pm, with the Magic Show at 3pm. Admission is free.
  • Turkey Supper: Saturday, November 4 at the Channahon United Methodist Church. Adults $10, Children 5-12 $6. Call 467-5275 for reservations, carry outs starting at 4pm.
